gnat fabricates milestones

today is my 500th day of chicago residency!

perhaps that's why i've grown so complacent about blogging... after all, i'm more than settled in and chicago life has become very routine. i wake up, depending on the day i go to either work or school, i come home and make dinner, i study, i watch jeopardy!, i go to sleep... it didn't take typing it out just now for me to be certain that none of this is at all blogworthy.

maybe this is a good thing. maybe i've become a jaded chicago resident with no more curiosity and wonder in me because i've done all of the touristing there is to do. maybe i need to stop making excuses and set aside more time for exploration.

(maybe all of this is foreshadowing for a post that i meant to write today but that will have to wait for tomorrow due to my getting sidetracked by a culinary adventure... we'll just have to wait and see.)
